Royal Flush is the first son of First Aid we’ve added to our stud.  His sire is quickly proving to be the generator we knew he could be having sired the Champion Hampshire gilt at the California State Fair, the winner in the youngest Hampshire boar class at the Iowa State Fair, the Jr. Reserve Champion Hampshire gilt at the Indiana State Fair, and most recently the Reserve Champion and high-selling Hampshire gilt at the Western All-Breeds bought by Ottenwalter; as well as the Champion Hampshire boar at the Western All-Breeds.  Starting at the ground Royal Flush meets the surface on a larger foot with bigger toes than his daddy.  Working upward he’s stouter up through his forearm and boulder into his ribcage having more outward turn to his center rib, which in turn works to his advantage by offering a great maternal look of mass and depth from the side.  He combines these advantages with good muscle shape from his blade back, as well as the patented First Aid deep hip and great angles to his hind leg!  He’ll see his share of sows on our farm because nothing beats a Royal Flush!!

When we saw that Texas Hold’em, the Champion Hampshire boar at the 2010 Ohio State Fair, was up for sale we jumped at the opportunity to own this maternal packed pedigree to sire elite Hampshire females.  He is one unique Hampshire boar that’s as sound structured and flexible as you’ll find.  On the profile he takes a long flexible stride off both ends and practically fills his tracks!!  He’s square and true in his build, possesses a massive ribcage with great depth of body.  He ties these pieces together with adequate muscle shape and expression throughout his moderate frame.  What’s even more desirable is the consistency and potency of his mating.  He’s a littermate to Four Nickels, and a full-sib to Lone Star, both of whom are on stud at McCoy’s, his full-sib sister was the Champion Hampshire Gilt at the 2011 World Pork Expo, additionally numerous other full-sib sisters are in McCoy’s keeper pen.  With this predictability in combination with him already siring the Reserve Champion Hampshire boar at the 2011 Ohio State Fair with limited use, we’re confident in using him across the board on our herd.

We would like to thank Rasmussen Farms for allowing us the privilege of owning the stoutest boned and biggest footed Hampshire boar that we’ve seen in our lifetime!!  He combines this stout skeleton with an even more impressive front end that’s long, clean and oh so square and powerful!!  If that isn’t enough, his long and level hip and near perfect hind leg allow him to put it all together on the move as well as any.  The icing on the cake to us is his black-type pedigree, however.  In a complete confinement setting, his 7th parity dam sticks out in a barn of 800 sows.  She has placed two other boars in stud, Greeter at Purple Power and another retained by Rasmussen; not to mention the 3 littermate gilts to Hypnotic and numerous other females before them!!  All this being said, with the next generation rib, structure and look he offers; we feel he’ll generate females for years to come!!
